THE INTERN PROJECT

Our partnership with the Feeding the Future Job Readiness Training brings the Chicagoland area a free, 4-week to 16-week training program that provides instruction in food service and employment competencies. All trainees graduate with the goal of securing food service employment and a successful, sustainable career.

FOOD SERVICE TRAINING

Our program objective is to address the need for skilled, trained kitchen staff in Chicago’s restaurants and food service companies. We provide individuals with transformational food service skills and instruction to secure sustainable employment. One by one, we can build a stronger community by providing more jobs and combatting the high unemployment rates among young adults in Chicago through efficient skills training.

WORK READINESS & SOCIAL SKILLS TRAINING

Our work readiness curriculum includes resume development, workplace professionalism, mock interviews, work ethics, basic computer skills, communications,, and financial management.

Classes are very interactive and include two different teaching styles, hybrid and facilitated.

FEEDING THE COMMUNITY

Feeding The Future will work to combat hunger by preparing and distributing prepared, scratch-made meals throughout Chicago. In partnership with local food assistance and community organizations, Feeding The Future will feed people without access to affordable, nutritious food: children, seniors, and the unsheltered.

Feeding the Future is a woman and minority-led job readiness training program. The Feeding the Future Workforce Development & Entrepreneurial Program is a free, 4-week training program that provides instruction in foodservice and employment competencies. All trainees graduate with a direct pipeline to securing food service employees in order to achieve a successful, sustainable career.
