Dr. Michael Davenport

​Michael Davenport, MD, a Chicago native, is a proud product of the CPS as a graduate from Lindblom Technical HS. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, then returned home to attend The University of Illinois College of Medicine, completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital. He currently works as a physician surveyor for The Joint Commission, which is an accreditation organization for hospitals both in the US and Internationally. Prior to his role at The Joint Commission he served as Chief Medical Officer as several hospitals including Advocate Trinity Hospital, Methodist Hospitals and Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Dr Davenport also practiced clinically as an Internist for over 20 years both in private practice and in group practice settings on Chicago’s southside. Dr Davenport currently lives in the Morgan Park neighborhood with his wife Loretta and enjoys playing golf and his three grandchildren.
